and now for the boring bit

I am getting super close to working out all the variations in this little equine group and I have spent today working on the pattern. Pattern writing is the dullest dullest writing ever. I seem to start every second sentence with "pin and sew the blah-blah blah" or "with right sides together blah blah blah".

and a name for this pattern?  - not a freakin' clue. Do you guys want to name it for me? Winner could win... something ... fun.... like the pattern and a complete kit for their choice of horse/unicorn/donkey.
Sound like a deal ?
I knew I could count on you guys.

(Nicola Potts is the winner but she is a "no reply" commenter so I hope she sees this).

  6. Ooo, oo, how about Two Hands, if your ponies are 8 inches (203.2 cm) tall? That's equine height measurement jargon. (I'm no horsey expert. Google told me.)

Or it could be The Herd, because you know whoever gets the pattern will make a posse of them.

Or my parents favorite thing to say to us as kids - "Hold Your Horses."

They are so stinking cute! Wonder if you could spot dye wool to get a spotty horse.

  7. Hold your horses is good.

    Neigh bother. neigh chance

    Reiny days.

    Manely fun.

    Not a load of manure.

Those reins don't have bits, so they can't be boring...

  8. Gosh, I love Hold Your Horses! Much better than any name I have thought of :-) Great double meaning as a toy :-)

I was thinking of Hi Ho Silver, Away! Maybe without the Away bit :-)

  9. Ooh, wait, I thought of a good one!

Gypsy Gold - from the saying: "Gypsy gold does not chink and glitter. It gleams in the sun and neighs in the dark" :-)

  10. Pidge the pony (after one of my favorite equines).

  11. I like "Steve" because I feel like everyone needs a unicorn called Steve in their life. Seriously. Steve the unicorn rides in for the rescue is a sentence everyone needs to say at least once in their lives right?

  12. Equinox, The gallop gang, The mod hoovers, Hip Horsies, Pony Parade, Morse the Horse and friends, Trailblazing, Sit in the Saddle (my horse knowledge is inadequate, as is my ability to rhyme).

    They're terribly cute, btw. :)

  14. Wow, some great choices already given. How about a string of blessings.
String is the name of a group of ponies or horses owned by an individual and a blessing is a group of unicorns.

    Great pattern!

  16. Riding herd? Or Equine adventure. They really do remind me of wanting to ride the ponies on carousels at the local show when I was a kids. Love the unicorn!

    My suggestions:
