The Red Carpet

In the fullness of time it happened that my workaholic ways were noticed and a holiday was ordered.

So that's how I now find myself the subject of a SHOWCASE !!!!

(Why yes I did organise a little bit of teaching during the aforementioned holiday).

Whilst the whole come and hear me talk and sign things makes me absolutely snort with laughter and look around to see if anyone has figured out what a doofus I am yet - I am totally looking forward to meeting Briony of Frangipani Fabrics for the first time, catching up with  longstanding blog friends and pulling off the great "craft time while on holiday"swindle.

If you want to be part of the swindle you can go to the Frangipani Fabrics website and book online.
You can come and do some foxy sewing with me on Friday or come and hang out on Thursday night . I'll be bringing some stuff to show you and might bring a few disasters-in-progress. I'll dust off the frock and bring her along as well.
I have to admit to being a bit incredulous when Briony first suggested the Thursday night thing.... I am seriously the most boring homebody in the world and I find it hard to imagine people want to come and listen to me talk about myself.... Unfortunately I've been hanging around online for so long that adopting a new and exciting persona, complete with awesome accent is out of the question so I guess it'll just be me, being me.

If you were coming to chat with me about me being me and my making, is there anything you would want to know?

  1. Whoo hoo!! A working holiday. Sounds wonderful. I hope all of Tassie turns up to see you.

If I was to come and listen to you talk about yourself, it would just be nice to hear you talk - you know like you do here on the blog.

    Have a great time.

  5. I thought that said "pattern singing". you should do that.

I'd mainly want to hug you if I was going to be there. would totally get in the way of standing up the front giving a talk, having a lunatic Scot hanging off you, but you'd just have to put up with that.

If I was going to try and appear semi-normal and sit in the audience, I'd probably want to ask you about knickers. but that would be pants.

so I'd just ask you about the awesome backgrounds for the stories. and the heads on sticks. and how many lumpy horrors you made at the beginning before you got the awesome softies you get now. cos you know, you're awesome and all.

    RockStar Jodie, the Tasmanian Tour.
