It was some time last term when the quality control officers got a peek at the first peanut-headed draft of these guys. I tell you, I am not built for speed.
11.30- wool felt , stuffing pellets and stuffing. These guys are FIRM !
12.05 - Some clothing
2 pm -Some teensy arms
3 pm - Some straps, some tidying.....
And in a fit of who knows what, last night I joined facebook. After waxing lyrical about wanting to set up a business page but not really wanting all the drama of 'friends' and stuff, I decided to bite the bullet.
And in a fit of who knows what, last night I joined facebook. After waxing lyrical about wanting to set up a business page but not really wanting all the drama of 'friends' and stuff, I decided to bite the bullet.
I joined and I have a page and I have a business page but I ticked or unticked or double clicked somewhere I shouldn't because I don't exist.... I mean I know I am there, but no-one else can find me, which surely defeats the whole bloody purpose.
I'm over it already!
I am not, not, not letting my boy see me reading this post. He is just a teensy bit dragon/sword/knight mad and these are way cute!
ReplyDelete(PS I'd 'like' you on facebook anyday!)
too cute :)
ReplyDeletePfft, and there I was thinking you were avoiding me. I asked to be your friend. But nope, not a nadda, just a cold friendless shoulder.
ReplyDelete*sniff*
You should know by now it's all about the dismount.
LERVE the new softies!!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to find you on facebook!!
Andi x
These little fellas are soooo cute. I've avoided face book so far but I suppose I , too, will have to give in in the end.
ReplyDeleteLoving the little card soldier men(?)
ReplyDeleteAnd I had no idea you could be in facebook without doing the whole friends thing.
I must find out how.
I saw you on Facebook lastnight but I thought you must have joined years ago but just never updated anything. I'm off to find you!
ReplyDeleteI did the same with the facebook page, but then JUST COULDN'T BE BOTHERED! Plus all those dickeheads I went to school with msay find me, and *GASP* talk to me. Love the Softies. Join Twitter if you want GOOD chat.
ReplyDeleteloving your little army!
ReplyDeleteYou are ahead of me on facebook.
xo
PS Gordon has a friend,
Your new knights are looking fab! I joined facebook a few months ago for all of 3 minutes before I thought this really IS a load of rubbish and terminated my account! L x
ReplyDeleteLove the softies!
ReplyDeleteI avoid facebook, and the rest, I already waste too much time surfing blogs!
I tried to find you on Facebook, but frankly I get awfully confused when I try and use it. I keep accidentally poking people and friending people who ask me if I want to lose 10lb stomach fat by the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour softie guys look very cute. Can't wait to see them finished. Perhaps you could try the other website for them ... BookFace?
Well are you going to tell us what your name is on facebook??? LOL
ReplyDeleteGillian sent me a link to you on facebook. Good luck with it!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Facebook; don't post often but it's been a great way to keep in touch with far-flung friends and with my girl in China when its govt allows access. I love your little knights in felty armour; were you inspired today to whip up a wee Vatican guard or Pope, maybe?
ReplyDeleteNice to see another little lost face-booker.
ReplyDeleteI've actually found connections with a few friends that I thought I'd lost in life... a good thing. Also people I don't know - or haven't wanted to for about 20 years - want to be my friend. (So... how did you bypass that bit?)
Too cute! Very sweet..er..I mean "rugged" knights. Valiant indeed!
ReplyDeleteThis may be the first time I actually think I may be ready to be a grandma some day. So I can make little knights for future grandchildren. My own children grew up far too quickly. Can we do over the last 27 years?? :0)
ReplyDeletesuch cute creatures!
ReplyDeleteHope to find you on facebook soon (o:
Oooh, very excited to see the new knights!
ReplyDeleteI'm on Facebook too and have a love/hate relationship with it . When I'm in a hating pbase I just ignore it and when I'm not in a hating phase I go and say "hi". I have mine set up so my blog posts from my various blogs show up automatically there, so that creates some traffic on my blogs and that's always a good thing.
And I find ignoring friend requests works just fine. :)
Off to see if I can find you!
Well there are the card soldiers, but... where's Alice and the White Rabbit... and most importantly, where's the Queen of Hearts?!!
ReplyDeleteThe knights are squealable cute! In a fierce, swashbuckly, mannish way of course.
ReplyDeleteI joined Facebook last year on the wish of my DH and spend about 5 minutes every four or five days on there. I much prefer reading and commenting on blogs--THAT I can do for hours and hours at a time!
I think you may find the answer in you security/privacy settings. You can elect to keep your profile hidden so random people can't find you even if they search for you. There rare degrees of hiddenenness, so I guess it's something in there...
ReplyDeleteOf course the softies rock too :-)
Those guys are so cute! I love them! Facebook...hmm....I deleted my account about 6 months ago. I figure I spend enough time online with just blogging and Flickr ;D
ReplyDeleteThese guys are high on the CUTE factor Jodie.
ReplyDeleteHhmmm... have to admit I signed up for Facebook last year but it felt too much like voyeurism for my liking - but it is another networking tool I suppose.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
I have a facebook page for My bearded Pigeon as you know but I do find it all so painful in a way. I am amazed at how much time poeple must spend on there... as opposed to blog reading which is far more intersting.
ReplyDeleteyour pace is my pace too. Cool softies. Still resisting facebook here.
ReplyDeleteUh Oh my boys are going to go crazy for these ones just like the super cat, which I must get from you one day, they are Awesome as the boys say!! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh those are super cute!! great job! Love Heather
ReplyDeleteSuch dashing knights! I'd let them defend my honour any day...
ReplyDeleteWell I found you and 'liked' you! (On FB that is)
ReplyDeleteThey are totally cool Jodie!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not doing FaceBook, blogs, business, 4 children & real life are busy enough. I have a page which says i don't do FaceBook just blogs, no Tweets either. Trying to set the example that my children will not be doing FaceBook in the same mantra of "i never smoked, don't try it either". Good God, don't children spend enough time with each other during the day?? Love Posie
Love the little fellas! Well done on joining facebook, it can be great as I found a friend I'd lost contact with when we both moved countries, as for the people I don't want to know, I reject them when they ask to be friends and have even blocked some of them so they don't exist to me on Facebook and I don't exist to them! Let me know if you need any help with the Facebook thing.
ReplyDeleteIs there a Facebook for Dummies?? I seriously need it as I find Facebook to be cumbersome, not user friendly and way to easy to mess up with no idea of recovery.
ReplyDeleteI am searching facebook for you right now.
ReplyDeleteLove the little knights!
Love these little guys Jodie...
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened to me when setting up my FB page ...ewwwwww
I emailed FB for help and they were great..not fast, but very helpful.
Oooh - a ric-rac necklace for Mrs. Ric-Rac - how perfect!
ReplyDeleteKnights!!! We love knights and all their medieval doings hereabouts so these are right up our street. Don't quite know why but their little nose guards really make me happy!
ReplyDeleteAs for Facebook, I'm on their too but after first going on and losing three days of my life I take things a little more gently now.
xx
I'm the same with FB, I joined a few weeks ago and really have no idea what it all means and whether I've done anything right.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I "found" you and put you in my favourites :)
