Edwina Bolger's sweet chicky egg cosy above and Super Nic's beautiful stall below
Still here, just returning from that other crazy world and landing back in the real world of day job and washing and notes for school.... and I seem to be a suffering a bit of craft-lag.
Just give me a day or two and I'll be fine !
Welcome Back!
ReplyDeletecoming back down to earth with a bit of a bump? ;-)
ReplyDeleteMe again...was there much knitted stuff Jodie?? Love that little chicky :-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, hope you can ease in a bit.

ReplyDeletewelcome back...you'll be great...you always are!
ReplyDeleteWish I could have made it, looked like "ace fun"! I'm sure that supervisor of yours is happy to have you back on board too.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if anyone's in the mood for problem solving...this pattern has had me scratching my head for months.. http://stylewilderness.blogspot.com/2010/05/maternity-mystery.html

ReplyDeleteeasy peasy Fourth Daughter.
ReplyDeleteSurely you didn't go back to work on Monday you crazy lady? I thought for sure you would take a couple of days off to recover! xx
ReplyDeleteIs it spiteful to be jealous? Every time I see Nic's booth I just drool...didja get good stuff?
ReplyDelete"Craft-lag" - what a wonderful word. That's what it is, that spacey, having to get down to earth feeling I get when I enter the office on Monday mornings...
ReplyDeleteIt was just the best time! When is the next one!!!
ReplyDeleteHope it was great Jod :)
ReplyDeleteCraft-lag is a whole lot better than life-lag!!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to hit the ground running straight after a huge craft high!
ReplyDeleteTake all the time you need to unwind to get back your crafty-mojo!!
Hugs
Jo
Hi I was one of the lucky ones that made it to the S @ C fair. We had a really great time. Loved everyone's lovely things and great ideas. Its a bit depressing seeing all those incredibly clever people out there. Your stall included. I bought a couple of your patterns - i couldn't resist. That little turtle just kills me he is so cute! My sister and I flew down from Newcastle for the weekend. We had a really great time from beginning to end. I too have craft-lag but from watching others. Can't wait to finish the housework, lessons etc to start sewing!!!!
ReplyDeleteas if I don't love that egg cosy? you know I do.
ReplyDeleteI can appreciate that after those days of super crafty stimulation getting back to reality wouldn't be fun. I hope some fortifying cups of tea will help!
ReplyDeleteI'd say "welcome back" but I'm not sure it's what you want to hear! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day & welcome back to reality - actually mothering, not swooning your days away at a craft event without parental care. School notes, i hear you!! love & hugs, Posie
ReplyDeleteHey Jodie,
ReplyDeleteCould you bring along a robot pattern for me to sew it together I miss u at the stitches your stall was packed and I chickend out! I will buy one this weekend if you'd be so kind.
Cheers Leah
Hi Jodie - all sorts of lag here too, but slowly coming out of the haze. Thanks for the pic of my stall - it's the best I've seen yet (don't spose you could email it to me?)! Have a great week! Nic
ReplyDeleteHeh Jodie,
ReplyDeleteIt was great to catch up with you and you may let out a scream anytime in our stand...

Well, I went to the show and I went to your stall (you weren't there, but the lovely lady who was sold me a kinder girls pattern and two packs of flannel)and I stuck my nose around the corner for the last 5 minutes of your talk and I even went up and said hello after...but I was way too chicken to say hello Jodie I read your blog it's great. After all you're famous and everything, you might bite. BTW all the bots look even more fabulous in real life.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, I'm sure sleeping in your own bed was a real treat.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your thoughts on the entire experience, Jodie. I'm sure you're beat right now, though.
You looked like you were having so much fun at the fair Jodie. It was fun to meet you and your robots in person. Hopefully the crash landing won't be too hard!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time... jealous

Just caught up with all your stitches and crafty adventures-what an absoliute hoot you must have had:) Hope your face has stopped aching from all those laughs and that going back to the day job wasn't too much of a downer:)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you last weekend Jodie. Looking forward to more crafty goodness starting tonight!
ReplyDeleteHope you have had a bit of a chance to rest...
AAK! The collision of craft world and real world is such a jolt. Welcome home.
ReplyDeleteOh wouldn't it be lovely to forget abou the real world & just craft all day.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can climb the Faraway tree & find "Craft WOrld" & get lost in there forever!!
Hi Jodie, thoroughly enjoyed my time at your stall at S&C - I bought the gorgeous kindergirls patt and have already made up the wee cardigan x 2 , bodice for dresses x2 and am halfway thru adding ricrac to dress skirts x2 - saving that for Stitch n bitch nite 2nite! Meanwhile am having just a wee spot of difficulty re the head and hair for these girls - despite them being wee chatterboxes [as mentioned on back of packet,] they have been exceptionally quiet and NOT telling me how to put their heads together!! perhaps you could let me know how to contact you via email for a wee bit of help on this?
