Well obviously Christmas is a busy time
and then there are visitors
and the sewing room is a total pig-sty

and I have to find time to fully acquaint myself with the DVD and the hefty tome of instructions
OK and maybe, just maybe
there is a teensy bit of performance anxiety.
How exciting - the 644D is a goodie!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll need to get your helpers into line though. Tell mousie to move her foot away from the blade and that rabble standing on the top that they'll mess with the looper tension.

Hmmmm ... seems like a lot of dials and spinning bits. However that little grey bot on the side looks like she might know what she is doing. The mouse on top seems to be doing a good job of offering a protective arm to the turtle against the onslaught of that ginormous robot at the back.

It certainly seems as though all your little friends are trying to help you, you could always ask them to help out tidying up the creative chaos, lol! I am sure once you watch the dvd and have a bit of play around with it all you'll be fine. Do they have classes you can take too to familiarise yourself with the machine.

I got one of these for christmas, too! The exact same model. I get free lessons from the sewing centre where I bought it (that reminds me, must book in for my next one) and I totally recommend doing something like that. I was scared stiff of it, but one lesson and I feel fine!

Hope its all been fun Jodie! I reckon the best way is to dive in and start overlocking and when something goes wrong, then you refer to the instructions.

I was given an overlocker for my birtthday 2 -no, nearly 3 years ago (it came with video still, no dvd) and I haven't even been game enough to open the box yet! My excuse is that I don't have sewing room to use it in, just the kitchen table, but really I am a bit scared of it...
