Good morning class, please be seated quietly.
My name is Jodie and I am your teacher for today.
The selvedge snap purse - quick colourful and sure to be a hit for your school fete or Mothers Day stall...and yes of course you don't have to make it in selvedge.
PVC and paper wallets - a favourite I have to admit. These even passed the "what handmade gift to give a teenager" test. Quick, easy to adapt to different tastes and because they're PVC they do rate highly on the potential swearing chart.
Button rings and brooches, Yes I know you hardly need a class to learn this, but it might be a good class for those teen and tween girls who love a bit of bling. They could whip up the odd hundred of these and give them to all their friends.
These are the three workshops I will be teaching at Stitches next week. There are heaps of workshops to choose from and also heaps and heaps of free studios that you can just turn up to.
I am almost kind of wishing that I was not a participant, so I could go to some of these workshops. I'd bust a valve to go to a screen printing class with the Ink & spindle team !!
Oh and by the way - 2,511 inches sewn...just for the ruffle.
We are almost there !!!!!
When you are rich and famous, will you fly over to the UK and give us lot the chance to come to your workshops as well? Please? We are allowed to heckle the tutor, right? :-D x
ReplyDeleteBloody blogger just ate my really funny comment! Plus I would have been first.
ReplyDeleteDo we really have to wait until you're rich? Can't you just come over here and do your workshops anyway? You're already famous!
ReplyDeleteLocket xxx
And squeeze in a trip to Tassie on the way, not for a class but a glass of wine and some time to relax, you'll need it!
ReplyDeleteOh I LURVE the selvedge purse... and those BUTTONS!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get to stitches and crafts next week- I'll look out for you and come say hi :o)

Love checking out your selvedge creations! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I don't have to make the purse out of selvedge as for some reason my house is completely devoid of it. Wonder where it all went?!
ReplyDeleteLove the selvedge purse.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your classes. Hope they are a great success!!
Oh I am so jealous of all the wonderful stuff happening at the Melbourne Stitches show. I hope the Sydney one has some exciting stuf too.
