I spent most of the day farting about in the sewing room. I took a photo of my basket collection but didn’t think to get rid of the ugly doormat or half-dead geranium.
I used a dud knight as my pincushion because I couldn’t find my real (and enormous) pincushion. He isn’t even sewn closed.
I finished a monkey and thought about walking to the park to style him in a tree.
I swore a lot at inanimate objects like the empty bobbin and the lost pincushion and the fabric that was a bee’s whisker too small.
and then I walked the dog.
Oh, one of those days, huh? We all have them now and again!
ReplyDeleteA bee's whisker can never be too small!
ReplyDeleteI love your swear jar!
ReplyDeletelove your basket collection Jodie and love your puppy, have a lovely weekend farting around, lol.xx
ReplyDeleteLife's tough if you're a dud at your place!
ReplyDeleteBee's whisker- havent heard that one, but have heard bee's dick! I thing the whisker is smaller?
ReplyDeletelooks like quality farting about to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the placement of the star on monkey's britches! :o) Finn is handsome as ever. On Swear Days if you put money in the jar each time you swear you could buy a lot more fabric! :o)
ReplyDeleteOH I love you, and so glad you did!
ReplyDeleteOh the baskets! ... oh the handsome man dog! ...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect bitsy Saturday to me.
Green with basket envy!
ReplyDeleteI love your basket collection.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet dog
ReplyDeleteBaskets are great, Flynn looked pretty darned chuffed and I love the swear jar.
ReplyDeleteYour posts make me (and I'm sure lots of readers) smile. And FTR, I use a random cloth doll leg as a pincushion :). Someday, maybe I'll find the torso and the rest of her limbs.
ReplyDeleteLove the swear jar. We're paying our children 50c for school banking every time we swear. They're making a mint!
ReplyDeleteI call these days 'Saturday'! There are times when we crafters need to just do other stuff! :)

ReplyDeleteHa ha! Great post. I love the swear jar. :) I had a difficult time at the sewing machine. It took three tries to sew a zipper pouch for my Mom for her birthday but the third time was the charm. I probably should have just had the day off from sewing but the birthday party is tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like your pin cushion. Mine is a stuffed bunny head that didn't make the cut for Easter (in the original plan it would have had a body)..which is kind of morbid now that I really think about it haha.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post! Lol your swear jar is great! Somehow it reminded me of the Year One child who came up to the PGD teacher to complain about another child who was swearing. My friend asked the complainer what did the naughty word start with...'r' he answered. Hmm she couldn't think of what word started with are so she asked him to whisper it to her...*^sehole?..of course!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get your lovely baskets from?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. It makes us lesser mortals feel so much better to know talent like you still has those sort if days. And like everyone else I LOVE the swear jar!
ReplyDeleteYes but don't you see that we love these kinda updates from you - we wouldn't want it any other way!!
ReplyDeleteI think I need a swear jar like that in my sewing room!
ReplyDeleteI'm blaming this lack of blog on Instagram!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect blog post. And Finn is the cherry on the cake, my, what a pup!
ReplyDeletelol, at least you walked the dog! you had a better day than I did. I spent yesterday cleaning, cleaning, cleaning...boring, boring, boring! ;p
ReplyDeleteI don't care how much you do or don't blog, it's still awesome. xo
