Hello My name is Grace.
I hate Toby at my kinder because today, well first , Lauren said my dress is made of tablecloths and I said it wasn’t and she said I was a table so I said her dress is made of poo-poo and I had to sit in the naughty corner with Toby
and he sat in the other half of my naughty corner and poked his tongue out at me so I told the teacher and she said you can’t tell tales when you are in the naughty corner.
If I come and live at your house I would like there to not be any boys called Toby or Fletcher or boys who like to play pirates and run everywhere at once and push over girls for no reason and ON PURPOSE!.
I had a chicken pet but I almost dropped it upwards and that made it fly over the fence and now it lives somewhere else and is someone else’s pet but I have a toy chicken bird now and he will come to your house too.
You might live somewhere that is not like here and maybe it is really cold where you live. So I will bring my hat and coat and scarf because being cold is not very fun. Do you have snowingmen with noses that are actually carrots where you live ?
I do not like spiders or sticky insects or flies or any sorts of buzzing bugs and not dead things either. If I see a dead thing I will not pick it up for the nature table but I might put flowers on it to cover it up like at kindy when the dead worm on the cement got all hard and crunchy because he got sunburned and me and Grace and Lauren covered him up with flowers and put water on him to come back to life but he didn’t. I might bring my monkey if that's OK but he will be very good because he is a nice monkey and I will tell him off if he be's naughty at you.
At your house when it is kinda dark or sometimes when it's not but it is still bedtime like at fifteen O’clock and I have to go to bed I would like someone to tuck me in and kiss me goodnight because at my new house I might sometimes feel a bit wrinkly in my stomach and that might make me feel better.
Teachers notes - If you would like Grace to come and live with you, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post. Grace will travel to you no matter where you live, she will bring along all her bits and pieces and the monkey will even get some ears by then. You have until Sunday December 16 at 6 O'clock to AEST to leave your comment. The winner will be chosen at random.......Please include your URL or an email address or some way I can contact you in your comment.........although she is very very bossy she is really a sweet little girl.
Grace is absolutely adorable! and I would provide her a cozy home that next year will include a little girl who I'm sure will totally love her. Congrats on your 100th post, very nice work.
ReplyDeleteGrace! You are a gorgeous thing, aren't you! I don't like boys either - they are smelly and grubby and they always want girls to get them icecream.
ReplyDeleteOMG so cute............and I love the story that goes with it all........I am not good at softies......but then I guess Grace is NO softy.......sorry Grace........
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post...
Very cute :)
ReplyDeleteHello Grace I live with my Mummy in Queenslandland. It is really hot. But sometimes it is cold. And sometimes I go to the shops with my Mummy.
ReplyDeleteI have a hat and a scarf too. It is from New Zeelen which is where you have to go on a plane and I am going on a plane soon but not to New Zeelen.
I would love to have you as my best friend. I am 3 years old but it will be my birthday soon and then I will be 4 years old and will be a grown up. Mummy says I won't but I will be very big.
You have really pretty hair, I have golden hair but I am not Goldilocks because she was naughty. I am behaving myself.
Love, The Elfling from airfirewaterearth.blogspot.com
Hello little poppet, you can come here and then I will take you to a new home at my neices house, she would love you and your monkey and your chicken very much indeed AND she would keep away the nasty boys. She made a snowman with a carrot nose just this year so you may need your hat :)She has a little bike with a basket on the front and I think you would enjoy that!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 100th post!
ReplyDeleteI love the stories that go with your dolls.... they made me laugh out loud!
If Grace came to live with me, I would tuck her in with my neice, who is also called Grace, and also has red hair and then they could pretend to be twins and be naughty together and gang up on the boys.....
xxx
I was busy reading away and enjoying Grace's story and thought I was seeing things when you said you were giving her away! She is a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any little girls at my house - only boys - very nice boys, though. So if you'd like to come over and give me some company I would be most happy. Maybe you and Gork could get together!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Grace, We would love you to come and live here with us. We live in Engerland which is a long way from you but we were always taught that if you dug a really big hole straight down in the ground for a long long way you would arrive in Australia so 'praps your mummy could do that in reverse and save herself some postage costs. I have two littlish girls who would love to be your friend and a very lovely littlie boy who is kind and doesn't push girls over (on purpose) but really I would like you to come and live with ME best of all! Keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for luck! Lucy xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh Grace - there are no boys here if you would like to come and live with us. You are gorgeous and I LOVE your pippy long stocking legs and your coat !

ReplyDeleteOh Grace! No little boys here! Just a little girl named Zoe who would "read" you piles books (as that is her favorite pass time) and give you lots & lots of love with hugs & kisses. Zoe also knows how to "be" a monkey and even has a special "birdie song" she loves to sing...oh what a pair you two would make!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post! I have been eagerly awaiting this!
Hi Jodie,
ReplyDeleteGrace is beautiful, I have a little one who would love to love her and no naughty boys just one big one and he is very good at looking out for his little sister so I'm sure he would look out for Grace too! (oh and you have the same colour hair!!)There will be no wrinkly tummies in our house as you would be sharing a bedroom so it will be sleep over fun every night!
If you fancy a plane ride we would love to have you. Angea xx
Oh Grace, we have a new Granddaughter coming from China who would love to be your new friend. I can't believe you are being given away...just like I can't believe some Momma in China has to give her baby away because she was born a girl.
ReplyDeleteHope you two can meet.

Hello/Bonjour Jodie and Grace,
ReplyDeleteWe are a Ballarat family who are now living in France. Would you like to spend your first Christmas in France. It is our first as well! I know my 4 year old daughter would adore you. She has been missing good old 'Balla" and she would love the idea of having a friend from home. You could be her bonne aimee (good friend). I'm sure you'll love croissants and we could even find a beret to fit you!
Keeping our fingers crossed......
Congratulations on your 1ooth post Jodie. We've been reading you from afar.

Hello Grace,
ReplyDeleteMy little Minx would know just how to look after you. She loves cuddles and snuggling up in her fleecy blanket. She prefers playing nice girls games and likes to spend quiet time playing schools with her cuddlies. She has lots of cuddlies. She has enough love and cuddles for all of them and can always manage more!!
If you would like to come and live with Minx I know she would be the happiest little girl in our house!
love Moogsmumxx
Dear Grace -
ReplyDeleteWe would be so happy to have you come live at our house. Liza, who is two-and-a-half, not two, because two is baby and two-and-a-half is big girl, doesn't have many friends here at the house because we just moved here and Mommy is too busy making mittens to make friends for Liza. Right now Liza's best friend is a pink bunny, but bunny doesn't have nearly as nice of a wardrobe as you! Maybe you would be willing to share?
Liza hasn't been to the naughty corner at her preschool yet, but that's only because it's usually so full of little boys that there's no room. Boys are fun, except with they hit you in the face with big rubber balls and knock you over, then they're mean, even if it was an accident. But daddy is a boy, and daddy's not mean, not even by accident.
Daddy wants a burger with a hot dog on it for Christmas, and Liza wants a lollipop and a pink dress with a poofy skirt and some ballet shoes and a wand so that she can be the most beautiful Tightrope Walker Princess Fairy Ballerina EVER. Do you like being a Beautiful Fairy Princess Ballerina? Because if you do, we've got plenty of dress-up clothes to share.
We live really far away from you, but you could visit your friends at home via the computer any time you wanted. We post lots of pictures to our blog, so your friends would get to see you sometimes, too. Wouldn't that be nice?
Please, please, please, come live with us NOW!
Signed,
LazyMama
PS - Grandma's best friend is named Grace, which I think is a very nice name.
Quick comment as my child keeps banging the keyboard. She is lovely. Gorgeous girl and we would love to give her a home. Well done on 100 posts. Hope you celebrated!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! I have a Hannah Grace at home that is ooohhing and ahhhing over her right now! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jodie on your 100th post and I do believe your talents know no bounds. You have just excelled with Miss Grace in amongst that delicious painting of your children's rooms. You are a very generous soul. There is a lot of Grace Love out there and good luck to all the potential Mummies.
ReplyDeleteLOL! What a wonderful 100th post. I am sure Grace will find a nice home with NO stinky boys!!! Congratulations Jodie, I do so enjoy reading your blog! Have a wonderful week:)
ReplyDeleteohhhh beautiful grace..... how lovely you are.
ReplyDeletehappy 100th jodie. I love your blogs and all you create.
luv Abby
Grace, you are a darling! I have a little girl called Ruby Grace who is five years old. She has two older brothers and an older sister, but they are all much, much older than her. Her brothers are 24 and 20 and her sister is 23! They are all so much bigger and they all live far away as they left home to go to uni', so poor Ruby Grace is all alone. She doesn't like being the youngest or the smallest so she has four imaginary little sisters and she tells me what they've been up to all the time! Sometimes they can be naughty, but mostly they are good.
ReplyDeleteIf you came to live with us you could go to kinder with Ruby and play in her garden (which has REAL fairies!) and cuddle and play as much as you wanted. Ruby would keep you away from all the rough boys at kinder and she would show you her new school uniform which she got for school next year. Ruby has just told me that she knows that you can REALLY talk and she would tuck you up in bed with her at night so you wouldn't get a wobbly tummy.
Love, Clair and Ruby.
She is lovely!!!! I have someone at home that she might get along with just grand!!!
ReplyDeleteGrace you are so cute, i love your little pet chicken and your monkey looks so happy snuggled up in bed with you. My little girls think you have very pretty clothes, love that hat.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas little Grace.
lots of hugs, Cassandra, olivia and Angelica
That's awesome, I love your little stories.
ReplyDeleteOh she is the bestest kinder girl I have ever seen! Well, apart from my kinder girl Tamah. We would welcome her with open arms! You are so good at getting stuff done, I don't know how you do it! This would have taken me a year to complete! Hope I win!!
ReplyDeleteOh Jodie Grace is ADORABLE! All her little goodies are soooo sweet too, you are so clever. This has really brightened my day meeting Grace and reading her little story! what a cutie she is. I know if she came to our home my girls would love her but I would have to fight them for her at bedtime coz I love her too! :)
ReplyDeleteGrace is sooooo cute! She can come to live with me, as I don't have a "thinking" chair and that would probably make her very happy!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Jodie, What a wonderful way to celebrate 100 posts. Grace is very popular isn't she? How will you pick who she should live with?
ReplyDeleteAh Jodie - you never disappoint! Grace would be kissed and cuddled all better if her stomach felt all wrinkly while in our house - you see, I have a red head just like her!
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly cute!
ReplyDeleteShe is just completely amazing! I would love to be entered!
ReplyDelete~Angela :-)
Dear Grace, I wonder if you would like to go and live with my niece in Scotland? She's younger than you and would love a big sister. She's got a cat which I'm sure would get along with your bird just fine.
ReplyDeleteGive it some thought :)

ReplyDeletesweet grace! you will have so much fun with my jerrett! he's almost 6 but he hates to play pirates and he's always very nice! you'll have lots of friends too! there's packy the elephant and bear-bear the bear who has a rattle in his tummy so he makes noises when he laughs! he'll promise to look out for you, make sure you get lots of sweets, and he's got 2 night lights so there's no spooky things at bedtime! you'll get to watch cartoons cuddled up on the couch and drink juice with bendy straws! he'll maybe even share you with me so i can tuck you in for the night with a little snack and a big kiss!
ReplyDeleteshe's just the cutest! i'm wondering if you have a pattern for the sweet little doll quilt you made for you niece?

Hi Grace - you can come and live with me if you like. I live in Melbourne, so it isn't terribly far to go. We do have one boy here, but he isn't (very) rough or (very) loud - mostly he's very sweet and likes to read his little sister stories. Perhaps you'd like him to read you some stories too?
ReplyDeleteMelanie
oh wow! Grace you are so gorgeous. I've got extra tightly crossed fingers and toes hoping you'll come and live with me...and my own Grace - who'd love you forever and ever and ever :)
ReplyDeleteI think Grace is about the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen ~ except my own of course, who has a pillow named Grace and she's got red hair too. I hope you'll come live with us!

ReplyDeleteDear Grace,
ReplyDeleteWe would just love for you to live with us. My daughter, Scarlet, lives in a neighborhood with mostly boys. They like to climb trees, catch bugs, & have light saber fights. Scarlet needs a little friend who will ride on our tree swing with her. A friend to sing & dance in circles until she gets dizzy & falls down with. I hope you will consider a stay at our house.
P.S. She HAS to have a nightlight on every night so you won't even have to worry about the dark!
LOL Jodie you are such a character! How beautiful is Grace!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW... Congrats on your 100th post Jodie!!!! You really have been a busy lady now haven't you??? She's just gorgeous and to answer some of her questions.... I definately have no boys at my house grace, I just have 1 cheeky little girl who would love to be your friend, your bestest friend at that. She will even let you sleep in her bed with her if you like and she doesn't go to sleep until nineteen o'clock because she sits up in her room eating lollies and icecream. She would love your monkey too and your little chick bird as she has 6 real little chicks that she loves to play with every day, would you like to play with these chicks too???

I have a special bed ready for you (that my Pa made) beside my cot & my mummy will make you a quilt to match mine so you will be very cosy. I have lots of nice friends that you will like; Mr bunny & my teddy bear, my ducky & my panda too. There are no pirates or icky bugs in my room- it is just for girls! We could be best friends Grace! xxxxx
ReplyDelete100th Post - nice work Jodie. Hey didn't we start blogging at the same time? I'm no where near 100!
ReplyDeleteI think Grace needs to come live with me to keep me company. Bronte and Mr Pringle are good fun, but I think I will get better conversation from Grace. Also she will be lots of fun for my three nieces, Olvia, Chloe and Sophie to play with when they come to stay at Auntie Em's!
What a sweety you are Grace, you would be ever so welcome at our house. Congrats on your 100th post.
ReplyDeleteOh my--how adorable and sweet and precious! What a great way to discover your blog (via Thornberry).

Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteThere is a little girl here at my house that would love for you to come and live with her. She would teach you lots of lovely songs that you could sing together. Best of all she will protect you from her brother who would love to make you play with cars, trucks and all sorts of boyish things. Please come see us!!!
P.S. Be sure it bring a warm jacket and scarf, it is cold in Canada!
I really am losing the plot Jodie and I don't think Grace would be safe with this wine guzzling lunatic. I left congrats on your previous post instead of this one.....doh! How did I manage that???
ReplyDeleteGrace would fit right in with my little redhead!
ReplyDeleteGrace, please come over to our house for a play, and maybe if you like it here, you could stay?
ReplyDeleteSally and I would love to have Grace come and live with us. Sally says Grace can have the bestest quilt for her bed, and be her very best friend. We would give her lots of love and hugs and adventures. Even her own blog!

Grace would be very welcome in our home! She would find four people sisters (and one people brother, though he is very nice). She would also find a few fabric sisters, though none as cute as Grace. Mommy just might have to dig out the sewing machine and learn how to make these adorable little girls with clothing for Christmas time!

ReplyDeleteWhich was the best bit - designing, creating, seeing Grace all finished, or telling that most excellent story? 100 posts - congrats xoxox
ReplyDeleteGrace is very beautiful, and cheeky looking, and I am thinking that wooly hat and scarf looks like she should head somewhere a bit cool...like Tasmania. And I think my partner would like to take her to work with him to visit the little tykes he looks after during the day. Just a thought. Love ya work Jodie, superb mischevious little faces you create.
ReplyDeletegrace is veeeeeery popular! i'm sure my little anais would love to give a grace a snuggle each night and take her to kinder in a year or so to show her the ropes! :)
