I have been making animals without legs again.
I have been playing with some new felts from Winterwood. These are new colours for 2014 and that teal blue and that yellowy green are just screaming at me to use them!
I have been knocking out a few cushion covers as samples for my kids class in Ballan in the next school holidays.
And obviously that has left me far too busy to actually iron that cushion front before I took a photo.
Legless animals!! That cushion cover is wonderful, I like umbrellas very much at the moment, very symbolic.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little mouse! I was extremely excited recently to come across your patterns and sample critters at GJ's in Lygon St when I was in Melb for a shopping trip. I haven't found any of your little guys up here in Albury! I may have gone a bit 'schoolgirl groupie', my friends had no idea!
ReplyDeleteLove your work!
A: no good.
ReplyDelete"wide eyed and legless"
and I already told you it's Press, not Iron.
That mouse is completely adorable. I love the capped sleeves on her dress!
ReplyDeleteYou make good stuff, Jodes! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the umbrella on the cushion cover. A great opportunity to use lots of different fabrics.
ReplyDeleteMiss Mouse is just adorable. Although I don't work with wool those colors are so gorgeous I could collect it and use as a decoration, right? Umbrellas a happy things. Yours is the happiest.
ReplyDeleteWhat is an iron?

DeleteWell, a girl can't be expected to do everything and ironing should definitely take a backseat. LOVE the umbrella -- looks like you're having a great time sewing!
ReplyDeletethe mouse is adorable and I think you should leave her legless. Disabled animals are underrepresented in the soft toy world and I think you should do something to right this prejudice.
ReplyDeleteAnimal heads could be the next big thing, reminds me of when they were on walking sticks. perhaps on umbrella handles? I am working on my charity stuff as usual.
ReplyDeleteOoh your mouse is delightful! I can't wait for you to write the pattern for her! What about a mousey story too - in all your spare time! ;o) (I'm not asking for much!) Xx
ReplyDeleteMost of us dont mind being legless every now and again. I just bought a couple of bottles of gin and might indulge in few tipples over the long weekend. OHh.. at least your mouse is stuffed! very cute Jodes- as usual!
ReplyDeleteI think kids will appreciated the wrinkled look, as that is how it will most likely appear at home!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Legless or no, she's adorable. That ironing job should take just a sec, next time you pass by the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteMe, I've been busy with my first grandson, one week old!
Brilliant. I've been busy playing with my grandson Henry and having lots of fun
ReplyDeletehee hee..... Ironing is completely overrated anyway..
ReplyDeleteshe is absolutely adorable Jodie and I love her little bag!! every girl needs a handbag
ReplyDeleteI wondered what that umbrella was all about...speaking of Ballan...may I see you tomorrow by any chance?
ReplyDeleteNo iron, but your top stitching is first class :)
ReplyDeleteIroning is over rated.
