Have a nice day at work love, Make sure you dress nicely - Put on your blue suit.
Try not to get shot as you walk with your teeny tiny shield across the arena into the firing line of archers.
Make sure you wear your helmet, even when you don't wear your armour.
but kill them if you have to
Look after your equipment
and make sure to practice practice, practice, practice so that you too, will soon get to gallop full speed at another man on a giant horse. Yes, he will be trying to kill you while carrying a giant sharpened toothpick.
A boys dream job
(and a mothers worst nightmare)
Perfect for him!
ReplyDeletewell he's Son of RicRac, did you think he was going to sit in an office and count beans?
ReplyDeleteAt least he doesn't spend hours alone with body parts (even if they are teeny tiny felt ones!) Happy New Year to you all; I hope it's a year full of fun, not hospital visits.
ReplyDeleteDoes Keith still own the place? I can't believe he is still alive.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about boys and weapons...
ReplyDeletenot many people can say that they are a knight of the round table Jods, hope he is enjoying it.xx
ReplyDeleteIt all looks fun but I bet it flipping hurts!!
ReplyDeleteClassic!! Only your son...
ReplyDeleteThat will look good on his CV! Oh my...I work in HR and as a mother and shuffler of workers compo papers I am so glad I didnt have the job of employing anyone at that Castle or dealing with WorkCover! Its bad enough taking toddlers to A&E with an injury and they double check your story to make sure your not abusing your child- how the hell do you explain the jousting stick injury...hmmm I was on the set of "The Castle" remake!! PS does it help "pull chicks" if you wear your armour!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job :)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does sound like the perfect job for a boy.
ReplyDeleteHe certainly looks the part. Is it best not to watch as a Mum? We went with the boys and they do go for it!!!
ReplyDeleteWatch out... if they find out you can sew they you will be fixing all their outfits
Oh god. How could you watch?
ReplyDeleteWow! Medieval games! Not for me but he seems to enjoy it. His hair goes so well with his outfit too!
ReplyDeleteHey Jodie. I have three sons. And all have grown big (cos I sincerely doubt they have grown up!). When they were smaller they were always sparring with each other. We had rules for this. I recall that Rule One was "No kicking with shoes on". It is a good rule and has stood me in good stead.
ReplyDeleteWe've had more than our fair share of casualty visits. Some more serious than others.
I do hope that your boy conducts himself within the code of chivilry, which I believe has underpinning it all : be nice to yer mum.
Cheers
Very handsome knight he is !
ReplyDeletelol, move over Dr. Who....there's a new knight in town! ;p The horsey thing looks very intimidating...but fun! ;p
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he is in his element
ReplyDeleteI'm loving his ringlets. He fits the part, but I'd like to see a photo of him is his "normal" duds. Happy New Year to you Jodie. Michele
