While my computer was off getting fixed/broken/repaired
I thought about easy dolls and tricky dolls
I made a whole pod of whales – so easy I am up to numbers 14 – 16 !
I did some gocco printing to make a sample for a kids class I’ll be teaching at Millrose Cottage next holidays.
I emptied my scrap basket and sent the scraps to a blogfriend.
I did some stitching
and I finished off some chubby birds
I also went back to work (I have one more week to go before LSL), spent inordinate amounts of time talking to the office of green squiggles and made way too many starts on new things.
I worked on a dolly for the Red Nose days Dolls, I almost finished my project for Urban Stitches and I started embroidering some new underpants.
If you were to look up manic in the dictionary right about now……there would be a photo of me tossing and turning in bed at 2am trying to turn my brain off and get some sleep.

ReplyDeleteAt least you haven't just been sitting around fretting. Just think of all that tossing and turning as part of your exercise regime. Soon to disappear during LSL.

Yep. We feel your pain. It must be most tiring to have so much creative energy. It hardly ever happens to me which is why I sleep so much however it did happen last night so I have finally finished the QAYG squares for Jan Mac. Cherrie

ReplyDeleteYes, I too have trouble switching off at night, in fact sometimes I give in and get on with what I am thinking about in the small hours, at least then I can sleep afterwards!
Definitely!! Sometimes I get soo bad that I have to get back up again and work until my brain gets too tired to think. There are times when a job just needs to be worked before it can let you rest!

ReplyDeleteI love your website and after seeing your Little Red I contacted my local store and bought the pattern to surprise my 5 year old.
However I am struggling with the head. Sewing the felt on and that was all fine and loads of fun. But sewing the head to the body is so difficult. I completely mess it up and had to restart again, because the main problem I had was that where I sew the darts on both the front and back it made Little Red look like a dog or bear face. I decided to cut another face out without the darts but now trying to fit the head on the body which only looks possible by hand sewing but will probably not be strong enough. But the other problem is the head is now too big for the body and automatically makes darts.
Please help as I promised my daughter ill be done with the surprise by the morning,

Hi yas, I am on my phone so please excuse my typing. I can't reply personally as you don't have that feature enabled.
DeleteI suggest going back to the head with darts and rather than trying to join the head to the body...undo the side seams of the body a bit and sew the head front to the body front...then sew head back to body back. Then you can sew up the side seam over the top of the head and down the other side. I hope that is helpful.
I'm certainly envious of all you have accomplished! Ans such great projects!
