1. Jodie is such a caring person, full of the spirit of Christmas. She lovingly cut and pasted personalised gift tags for all her Christmas gifts.
2. Jodie forgot to buy gift tags and refuses to go anywhere a near a shop so she hacked up the weekend newspaper to make gift tags for the family Kris Kringle (and the rest of the non-public gifts have people’s name written on the wrapping in sharpie)
may your halls be decked..if hall decking is your thing.
Homemade tags add that personal touch Jod! I might pinch your idea as i haven't wrapped anything and there's not a tag to be found in my house either!
ReplyDeletegood luck jo, some letters are hard to find... Like K and J...
Deletei might be in your hood next year , maybe we can catch up?
Definitely Jod and if you need accommodation you re always welcome at my place!
DeleteEither way, they look good and I'm sure your recipients will be impressed!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours love, joy and peace this Christmas!
ReplyDelete"choose your own adventure" -- trust a school librarian! LOL
Are they still as popular as they were back in the day? (I was going to say eighties but I don't want to offend!)
They have been republished and are still loved, thanks for popping in lynne...what a year !!!
DeleteThanks Lynne, you just asked my question. I loved these books when I was a kid - must try to get the republished ones for my own kidlets!
DeleteOh, and Jodie, in my neck of the woods we refer to that as "kidnapper" text LOL
Merry Christmas
They look great. At first I did think they were ransome notes; you know, so you would actually get something you wanted this year!
ReplyDeleteThanks to Lynne for reminding me of how long ago it was that these 'choose your own adventure' books were. I loved them way back in the early eighties. Now adding anti-aging creme to the Christmas wish list!!!
Merry Christmas to you Jod and your family. Also to all your 'Ric Rac' followers.
thanks Lisa, I am thinking of you this Christmas and looking forward to spending time with you in 2013. look after yourself.
DeleteThey look great Jod. I hope you have a lovely break and a wonderful Christmas
ReplyDeleteI did the sharpie names straight on the wrapping paper this year too. Jeff called me cheap, I said it was environmentally friendly. No one keeps the tags anyway
ReplyDeleteI've made my own too this year yours look Great
ReplyDeleteCheers
Cute tags, but my favourite thing from this blog post are the labels that you attached to it at the end! I think that I almost wet myself too...
ReplyDelete3. people are lucky Jod bothered to get them anything state she's in, poor thing.
ReplyDeleteFeel better, hope somewhere in the stressmess you get a rest.
Hee hee! my dad uses a sharpie too! I love the tags!
ReplyDeletePretty clever, Jodie! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteA happy "accident" perhaps! I love them. My first Christmas with Mr. Creations he presented a gift to me and it was wrapped in the Sunday Comics. A guy thing, a unique person, an "oops I forgot to buy wrap?" Who knows. I loved the gift and the thought. My halls are decked and my hips will soon require holsters from the holiday sweet eating! Merry Christmas to you!!!
ReplyDeleteYou mean you're not allowed to just scribble the names on the package with a Sharpie? Oops! :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff Jodie, I would have typed them on the computer and printed them out.
ReplyDeleteI do home made tags too because I'm a bit of a tightarse.
ReplyDeleteI also use clipboard paper as wrapping paper. It's remarkably sturdy.
Merry christmas!
That should read "flipboard" paper!
Deleteworks for me! gives it a 'nightmare before xmas vibe'. ;p i had to go to the grocery store on friday and even that was too much! ;p
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI made my own too - printed some on card then cut them up. Afterwards I found the 'proper' ones, but I like mine (and yours) better.
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea for gift tags. must remember that one. happy Christmas to you and all of yours.
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
It's all "sharpie tags" here too!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!
Love the fancy tags.
Cheers
Jenny
They look great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas.

Merry Christmas to the RicRac clan. The thing about labels is to make sure the right gift gets into the hands of the right recipient. I have only just finished my wrapping as we don't have Christmas here until tomorrow. Everyone else is scattered to the four winds to the 'other families' thing.
ReplyDeleteI did my food shopping yesterday and I thought it might have been worse than it could have been, but I was pleasantly surprised. The kid on the checkout told me that the had a full supermarket on Sunday night at around 11p.m.
Hopefully you have been spoilt, Jodie!
Happy Christmas. :) XX
Huh? What's wrong with writing on the wrapping with a Sharpie? I chose the green Sharpie.
ReplyDeleteMerry christmas jodie. sorry i missed you thur.headed north but will catch up when igwt home
