It’s not easy being a supermodel.
You have to make everything look effortless
yet playful,
While gazing off into the middle distance
………….even in the swimsuit shots,
In bi-ped news, we headed off to the surgeon yesterday and Simon was hoping to be told to take off the cast and run free ! In fact what the surgeon said was .”ooh lets cut you open and fix this, maybe shattering your elbow in the process”. When we neglected to whoop and cheer with excitement he suggested a few more weeks immobile with regular X-rays to monitor the healing.
The patient is losing his patience
(no-one guessed the name but I’ll pick some random winners and let you know)
bugger!! so does that mean you're off for a few more weeks too..??
ReplyDeletegreat pics of the quadruped too... :o)

If only all supermodels were that gorgeous. Ohh Poor Mr Ric Rac and poor you. Sending healing thoughts his way - and lots of patience for you both.
ReplyDelete"a few more weeks immobile with regular X-rays to monitor the healing" is the same thing that they have recently told my 12 year old son about his knee and he is not impresses (footy season has started and he is super frustrated!) oh the joys of being the carer. . . . I can see the up side for you if you get more time off :o)
ReplyDeleteOh it would be so annoying for him and for you too. Your dog is just beautiful and plays the supermodel very well indeed!
ReplyDeleteTenha e exerça paciência pelos dois, tive que fazer isso recentemente e não foi fácil, mas muito gratificante no final,Boa sorte e Deus abençoe.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the supermodel's name? He has lovely "ear furnishings"!
ReplyDeleteDear Jodie,
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that you both didn't jump on the table and do a happy dance when the surgeon suggested the first option. :D
I hope that the patient is ok and that you are finding time for yourself as well. I hope it heals quickly.
Oh dear. Hope the time goes quickly!
ReplyDeleteBig dog looks like Farrah Fawcett. O to have so much hair and all of it hanging perfectly. sigh. Best wishes to the patient. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of the pooch; he's grown so fast (and so big.) Ouch, not good news; can't see Simon doing the 'immobile' bit any time soon. Wishing you both all the best and a big helping of quick healing and extra patience.
ReplyDeleteI can not believe that no one picked the Rhinos name.
ReplyDeleteSorry that Mr Ric rac is still out of action.
new elbow? bionic elbow!
ReplyDeleteoh dear. a short solution would be just too good.
Patience for both of you!!
Even as a non-fanatocal animal lover, I can tell that Finn is a supermodel. He really is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm with Mhairi - why didn't you dance on the tables, or better still, pole dance your excitement? Best wishes to you both. :)
perhaps they could shoot Mr Ricrac full of happy juice to keep him stationary for a few more weeks. Failing that maybe they could shoot you full of happy juice to get you through the next few weeks?
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots of the furry family member. What a handsome hound! Super model indeed!
ReplyDeletePoor Mr Ric Rac. What a bummer for you all
ReplyDeleteLoving the puppy pictures - he's got soooo big!!
Chris x
That doggy is seriously good looking
ReplyDeletebummer for you and your hub
ReplyDeleteand we have a 'model' at our place too!
Your gorgeous dog reminds me so much of our beautiful old girl.. They have such amazing eyes that go straight into your heart! Sorry to hear the news on hubby is not so good.Hang in there!!!
ReplyDeleteBoy, your puppers sure is beautiful! (I miss my dog. ;-( ) Sorry to hear about the setback for the Mr. -- and you too!
ReplyDeleteI love you Dr. Finn...I REALLY love you! Now go feed your master. He needs you more than I do. :P
ReplyDeleteAh, shit Jodie. It just sucks. :(
Very handsome dogger! Bummer for Mr. RicRac. and Mrs. Ric Rac.
ReplyDeleteWhen you've had enough of playing nurse just go and cuddle your gorgeous hound! They have a way of making you feel better...Sorry the news wasn't better...
ReplyDeleteOh dear, not good news but do as Sue A says cuddle that gorgeous hound when times get tough.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Finn, you are needed at the office...go bite the woman who has trespassing issues! I'll give you a bone if you do it quickly and leave no trail. ;p
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Jodie. Things will settle down..eventually.
So beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOh darling Finn, look at that Winter coat, glorious. My Khan was doing his best to not look hungry as he watched our 10 day old chickens in the coop, as chasing birds is one of his top 3 things to do, behind chasing butterflies & catching bees. His supermodel German Shepherd face after catching a bee is one of blank surprise, it's one of his most convincing model poses. Love Poise
ReplyDeleteOh & poor Mr Ric Rac, bless his elbow & clearly, like i was recently, you are funding an orthopaedic surgeon's new yacht?? Love Posie
ReplyDeleteYour dog is just stunning, They grow so very very fast. All the best to Mr Ric-Rac and to you you in this trying time. Looking forward to knwing the rhinos name.:)
ReplyDeleteJodie, while your model is indeed stunning, I think he could do with a wax!!
ReplyDeleteBummer for you all about the arm.
He is certainly a handsome fellow! Hope the healing goes by quickly....silly surgeons that are scalpel happy :-(
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful boy - and boy does he know it :o) Love that last photo, it's just like Merlin Moog....only bigger....and not a border collie!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you both with the healing process. I imagine the whole thing is very unfunny by now.
