So, whilst we push Mr Fox to the back of the brain and concentrate on finishing up Milligan.......I suggest we have cake.
This is Jen who I am lucky enough to know. Jen used to work at Ballarat Patchwork but just last week she opened up her very own coffee shop, aptly called 'cake.'
This coming Saturday some of us bloggy /crafty types will be gathering at Jens' new shop in Main rd Ballarat at 2pm. Not for any reason except cake and coffee and hanging out with friends.
So the invitation is open , if you are a local or even if you are not , if you are a blogger or a not-blogger, if you are in twenty craft groups, or none at all. If we have never met, met once or practically live together - why not come and have a coffee and cake at Jen's new shop?
I know I'll be there and so will Jan and Lizzie and Annie and Deborah - just let me know if you are coming so I can make sure Jen has enough chairs!
come on , we can't all be axe murderers can we?
LOL. Sounds lovely. Wish I could make it. Don't think the hubby would fall for "just going out for a coffee with some new friends" when the credit card bill came with a plane ticket on it. The cafe looks gorgeous. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Noooo I can't make it this Saturday. I'm deifnitely popping into Cake next time I'm down in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteSee you there for cake :o)

I'm there - those cakes are scrumptioulicious!
ReplyDeleteYou got me with that last line- I cracked up! That is what so many people seem to assume when I talk of blog friends and the wonderful people I've met. Wish I could be there- everything looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhaaatttt? You've never heard of gangs??? You guys could definitely be a gang of crafty axe murderers. Scissors and needles can do a LOT of damage. I hope you have a wonderful time killing your new victims!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh it looks lovely and well worth risking bumping into a bunch of bloggy weirdos to get my jaws round one of those cakes!
ReplyDeleteShame I live a bit far north really :o(

That is just too much temptation to pass up! A day out, bloggy/crafty types and cake! That's it...I'm in, please book me a chair. I promise I'm not an axe murderer.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there to pull up a chair and share some of that delicious looking cake.
ReplyDeleteNot an axe murderer.
Also a bit far north, shame.
ReplyDeleteI expect lots of pictures of this cake party event!!
Have an extra cake for me.
They name sandwiches after famous people at those restaurants and delis in the US - I think your new shop should name cakes for famous local bloggers. So you'll have to do lots of taste testing just to be sure!
Cheers,
AJ
oooh that sounds like great fun - in my hubby's family all of life's problems are solved with cake :) have a fab time ladies!!

ReplyDeletewill...try.. to...be...there but cannot say if I will be an axemurder or not after putting up those bunk beds ..
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Jen, in your new endeavour. May there be many crafty get-togethers!
ReplyDeleteOh no I can't come ! I have an appointment already to have my axe sharpened that day , maybe next time .
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Jodie! I hope Jen manages to keep her gorgeous figure when she is surrounded by cake all day every day. I think I'd be safer being surrounded by fabric!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, cake...... Sounds like you'll have a super jolly time!
ReplyDeletemmmmmm cake! I'll be drooling over here just thinking of you all enjoying some!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck to Jen for the opening!
OOOh yeah! See you there Jode-a-licious!

ReplyDeletehave a lovely afternoon.. eating cake...well that is if you can all stop talking long enough.....
I'll be there. Pretty sure I don't fall into the axe murderer category!
ReplyDeleteAll that temptation...would it be silly to hop a plane to join you all? ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to come and check out your 'axe murderer' status for myself!!!! What a shame I am off to Ballarat today for a childs orthodontist appointment, not sure the family would be convinced I need another trip Saturday!!!
ReplyDeleteEven the signage is good enough to eat!! Oh, fantastic!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteWhen I grow up I want to live in a shop called Cake...
ReplyDeleteSorry, can't make it on Saturday, have fun!
(And put your axe away Jodie!)
Hmm, netball at Mortlake, could tell Dh I took the long way home!! have fun, Tracey
ReplyDeleteps, i can also vouch for you, have met you twice and the axe never appeared once...now the knife...well, that's another story!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAn axe murderer wouldn't stand a chance against you and all your needle-wielding friends!
ReplyDeleteIt was such fun - and there wasn't an axe in sight! Thanks for organising such a fun afternoon, Jodie.
