Before my sleepover was rudely cut short last night by a blackout at about 11.20. This is where I was up to.
Little thread holder for the kits.
Chorus heels were sparkled. (Hot glue guns really are amazing things!)
and I had another attempt at the hedgehog. On Friday a parcel of selvedges arrived from Kristen Doran and they looked so good together that I had to make a little project for them. Thanks Kristen! I have included the rest in the big project of course. Your selvedges are beautiful.
Thanks to Fiona for organising the sleepover, I wish she were here in person I could have used a spare pair of hands , those sequins were a bugger!
Oh Jodie the apple looks so cute. I must get one of your kits when you are finished. Where will they be sold.
ReplyDeleteYour selvage hedgehog looks so cute and I'm not sure if I would have been much help on the shoes, I shake too much but I would have tried.
Thanks for coming to my sleepover, I had such fun.
Your hedgehog is adorable! Love those cute thread holder too - such brillaint ideas you have!
ReplyDeleteWhy, that little hedgehog is perfectly adorable! I love his cute little snout - although I must admit that he does look echidna-like too.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I read your blog I am reminded to start buying material in metre-lengths, instead of the usual 10-20cm pieces I buy, so I can have selvedges too!
I love the apple thread holder - did you make the design yourself?
And phew! I'm glad the sequins were glued on - I thought you were about to tell us you'd handsewn them all on and that would put everyone to shame I think!

LOVING that hedgehog!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the hedgehog! What pattern did you use for it?
ReplyDeleteAll my little bits of extra thread are wrapped around blah litte squares of grey cardboard.
ReplyDeleteWhat splendid sparkly chorus shoes, sure they will be dazzling on stage.
Guess it would be too much to ask for hedgehog kits, but I can dream.
What a busy girl you are! Especially loving those shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love the apple core best of all.
ReplyDeleteI think soon you are going to have to delegate a whole cabinet just for your selvedges alone! That hedgehog is gorgeous and you did a good job at sparkling up those shoes-glad you had fun at the sleep over and that your machine didn't die!
ReplyDeleteI've followed your link to Fiona's sleepover and it looks like so much fun! I am now wracking my brains as to how I could squeeze in a caravan/craft room of my own!!!
ReplyDeleteYour sparkly shoes look fab. Did you burn yourself making them? i still have the scars to show my dealings with hot glue guns!!
Gorgeous little hedgy and the apple core is so cute :)
xxxx

ReplyDeleteOh my - your efforts with the glue gun have shown fantastic results. Do those things really work? Don't the sequins drop off? I can think of a zillion projects that could use a little sparkle - might have to look into hot glue gunning.
ReplyDeleteThe apple core is a great idea, and I LOVE the hedgehog. x
You are so busy with lots of wonderful things: super sparkly shoes, cute core, handsome hedgehog (cute snout!)
ReplyDeleteAll three projects are fantastic. The sleepover was fun wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your kits. The apple core thread holders are very cool. What a great design.
ReplyDeleteI love your little hedgehog - very cute indeed. Lucky you getting a stash of more selvedges - I mean you obviously needed them ;o)

ReplyDeleteThat apple is too cute, and so is the selvedge hegdehog!
ReplyDeleteAnd...the shoes!!! Those shoes are just absolutelyb perfect :-)
Everything's amazing, per usual! The hedgehog is particularly impressive. You have such a fantastic imagination, and the fact that you can envision it and then successfully execute on it makes you a rock star. Seriously. I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute is the hedgehog! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe apple thread holder is adorable, and so is the hedgehog.
ReplyDeleteHot glue guns and I are unacquainted, not sure if I'd be safe with one of those things.
(I must admit, the felt hair on my dolly was partly inspired by your dolls, which I just went looking for and found Mirabel, you are SO clever! the hair on Mirabel is fabulous, anyway, I've tried making yarn hair before and found it oh so tiresome and time consuming, about five years ago when I started making rag dolls to sell at markets, but became discouraged very quickly by my husbands scathing remarks, if only I had known about blogging back then)
Oh, sorry about rambling! Ooh! I just noticed your dolls in the etsy shop link, so cute!
Absolutely amazing sparkly shoes!

Amazing job on the shoes, Miss Jodie! I dearly love your little hedgehog, he (she?) has such an endearing face. How big are the curtains? I've always looked at stage curtains and wondered just how they made those huge things.
