This week has been full of little crafty things - nothing spectacular.
I noodled about a bit and finished the boys sun hats.
and a little backpack
I made a bag for a new little friend called Iris.....................
and I kinda opened an etsy shop as well.
So far it is going super well- not one single hassle, it has really lived up to all my expectations.
Truly.
What? Really ?
Oh I am meant to put things in it? Made things?
Sheesh! and sell them to people ? and make up prices and think about overseas postage and make a banner and think about wrapping and packaging. Then I have to think about postage times and currency conversions and layouts and photos.
oh!
I think I might have to get back to you on this one guys!
Hum...that bag is very cute, how do you come up with those things?
ReplyDeleteI am feeling like my reasons not to have an etsy shop are valid all the sudden...
thanks!
Juliette
I just set one up myself, and yeah, it was a little more involved than I had planned for. Can't wait to see yours--it'll happen, I'm sure.

Good luck with your etsy shop! And that froggie hat is divine!!
ReplyDeletethey are all just too cute - my etsy shop has been sitting there for a while now too, for exactly the same reasons you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is about time too.

Pssst, don't tell anyone but I got myself an Etsy account too ... haven't got a clue what to do with it now though - don't understand the pricing, how to work out the shipping costs, yada, yada, yada.

Hey Jod, Be very careful making those boys such special little backpacks - before you know it they will be packing their hats and duffle coats and running away together. They can always come to my house. Can't wait to see Etsy. Shaz
ReplyDeleteI'm truely loving your fellows!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your shop! Your boys are real cuties!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm hearin' ya! I have things to upload into my shop, but that whole postage, descriptions, uploading photos etc....blahhhhhh, I just wanna do fun stuff!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be keeping a keen eye out now - I would love you to set up a shop (gleefully rubbing hands together now while thinking about all the wonderful things you make that I could buy....)
Good luck and every success for the shop
ReplyDeleteLove the frog hat. Good luck with the etsy shop I too scrolled down thinking I will have a peek.
ReplyDeleteVery nice sewing - now you just have to make stuff and list in that shop!
ReplyDeleteHmmm! It does sound rather daunting but I hope you find the time and inclination to go through with it-you do make such lovely things that people want to buy. Love the latest accessories and yes how do you make them stand up!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, it is a hassle putting things in the shop. I have stuff sitting just waiting to be photoshopped, priced, postage calculated etc, etc. But I know you will be a big hit when you do put stuff in the shop.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Those little guys are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteAnd Iris' purse is so sweet.
Hey, I'm looking into opening an Etsy shop, too. Mainly for craft packs of fabric and the occasional sewn item. I'm anxious to hear how you like it!
