On a holiday to Sydney to visit her sister mum went to the dentist (us kids went to, because there was no dental clinic in town). Turns out big problems with mum's molars. Some fillings and a root canal, and...no more earaches. Ever. Apparently tooth/jaw pain is often referred to the ears. Several years ago I suffered with intense toothache/headache/shooting pains down the side of my face - I also had scans for sinus probs but nothing showed up. Eventually I was diagnosed with neuralgia and put on medication which stopped the headaches but I still firmly believe that the intense pain was due to a nerve dying off in the tooth (which of course doesn't show up on any scan or x-ray!) The good news is that it does stop eventually, but at it's worst I used to keep wet flannels in the fridge and then use them as a cold compress against my face as that was the only thing that gave any relief. I hope you feel better soon and get it sorted.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04290653909989504581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1303875332081634127.post-65026650643821823792011-06-08T17:06:43.733+10:002011-06-08T17:06:43.733+10:00My husband had an unexplained tooth ache that went...My husband had an unexplained tooth ache that went on for days, but still insisted we go away to a very small country town miles from proper civiilisation!!!
