The burgle

The holiday to-do list is massive. (although I have pulled the pin on ceiling painting and am getting a nice wee man in to do if for me , funds allowing)

I was going to post it here on the blog to keep me motivated but when I looked at it, even I laughed. It was written by a crazy person. I really want to get so much done, some starts and some finishes, some toys and some new things……reality

and I have decided to tell anyone who visits in the next two weeks that we have just been burgled ! That way I don’t have to waste any of my sewing time on cleaning.

I am a freakin’ genius!

oops

I kinda forgot about the giveaway!

So I picked two winners !

Robyn

Katie

and right now I am working on the most splendiferously ridiculous To-do List for the two week holidays starting at the end of this week.

It may involve scaffolding, invisible zips and actual real life garments.

The iron-on fusible vinyl stuff

vinyl1

Choose some fabric

vinyl2

peel off the backing paper and place the vinyl sticky side down

vinyl3

Put the protective paper over the top and iron

vinyl7

make some weather proof bunting for outside the school library.

I love this plastic stuff ! It is beyond easy. Locally there is not a huge choice of laminated fabrics, and they tend to be kind of girly and floral, with this you can turn any fabric into laminated fabric. You can add the plastic to both sides or just one. I imagine it would be perfect for toiletry bags and suchlike as it doesn’t add much weight to the fabric, its still super flexible. Its nice and glossy but clear as clear so there is no fuzziness. As far as know, Merrilyn of Threadneedle craft has some in her online store and has been using it on bags with heaps of success.

I wonder if I could sprinkle glitter between two sheets and then iron them to each other?

(Rumour has it that the school laminator may have reached an untimely end in a similar way)

Exaggerated

News of my death, incarceration, or canonisation have been greatly exaggerated.

Casualty

leopold again by ric rac
leopold again, a photo by ric rac on Flickr.

So guys, the big computer went into casualty late on Friday. There have been bedside vigils and those crazy bedside promises of backing up and defragging.
We are hoping for a full recovery but are approaching the whole thing with a zen-like attitude.
I can't figure out the whole iPad/photo/blog thing so you get a photo of Leopold, I mean I couldn't do two photo- less posts in a row, I'd be chased out of blogland by people with pitchforks.
And when he is returned to us, full of health and vigor, I shall post pics of dolls, and bags, and French knots and cheeky sperm.
Bet you can't wait !

Dear Blogger,

I thought we might have a little chat.

No, nothing’s wrong, I’m just a little bit worried about you.

You’ve seemed troubled lately…..kind of distant.

Your behaviour is changing, its hard to predict.

Things seem a little erratic,

and to be honest your word verification is almost incomprehensible.

I’m starting to worry

I’m not judging you blogger, I want to help you.

Blogger ? Love ?

Are you doing drugs?

It seemed like a good idea…

When you decide to make eight “Little Red” dolls. It might be wise to bone up on your math.

Eight Little Red’s mean 40 mushroom tops and 40 mushroom stalks

Eight Little Red’s also mean approx 160 French knots.

dollmushrooms

Eight “Little Red’s” also means 96 little teensy eyes on little teensy shoes

dollfeet

I haven’t even started on the vegies.

The Dance of the Finish

I spent some quality time with my good friend  Mrs ButtKick this week

and as a result the Little Red pattern will be heading off to Creative Abundance today !!!!IMG_0747

Spending online time with another good friend, Gillian and her magic photoshop abilities, means Little Red will not be travelling with that stick up her bum!
